  1. Wonderful spiritual truths. I read the transcript Sunday and was able to listen to the sermon this evening. I have the volume turned up as high as I can go on my laptop and I would still like to make the sermon louder. Some of the sermons, I have to hold my laptop up close to be able to hear. I pray everyone has a very blessed week.

    1. walkinginlight – I have ordered a new GoPro Hero 7 Black camera that has 3 microphones in it for sound reception. Probably will be using it within a couple of Sundays. To this point we have been doing the recording on my iphone and it actually does a very good job, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the GoPro does even better. We shall see.

    2. Walkinginlight,

If you search “unholycharade” on youtube.com, you’ll find the church services on there.

When viewing it via YouTube.com (instead of through the SermonAudio.com website) you can turn on auto-closed captioning, which is fairly accurate. Then, regardless of the audio quality, you can read the captions.

I think viewing the services on YouTube is the way to go because of the closed-captioning function — which you can turn on by clicking on the CC button which appears on the lower right of the screen.

And, if you then select the full-screen option, then both the picture and the captions are much bigger.

      1. Also, I don’t think it’s the camera but rather that Pastor Crippen isn’t wearing a mic on his shirt. But the CC option available on YouTube works really well to make up for any low audio quality.

Maybe sometime Pastor Crippen will want to start micc’ing himself. But that’s his call.

And again, it’s wonderful to be a part of a church again, so this is by no means criticism.

I was reflecting on how special it is to have that part of my identity back again. Church congregant. 🙂

  2. Another great sermon. I wonder if those brought up in the church don’t sometimes forget how glorious and life-giving (and life-saving) of a heritage that is. You get to go to God’s House! You get to read His Holy Word! This sermon reminds us to be careful that we don’t lose that treasure due to it being there all along.

Glad you talked about the falseness of the ‘lost books’ be it the infancy of Jesus or the life of Mary as well as the ties to the Quran.

  3. I just wanted to say “Hello” to my brothers and sisters at CRC. I was just especially blessed today looking at the photo gallery showing some of the people who have so graciously welcomed my husband and me into your fellowship. What beautiful faces-I can see Jesus shining through them! I am so thankful to have brothers and sisters and a Pastor and his family who faithfully serve and worship Jesus in spirit and in truth. Just wanted to say “Thanks!”
