Rev 13:14 and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived.
[I am regularly using my acronym for reviler, abuser, sociopath, and narcissist – RASN (pronounced, “raisin”)]
RASN’s demand to be worshipped. That really is the correct word for what they insist we supply them with – worship. It is a fundamental diabolic quality of these kind. We exist only for the purpose of providing these evil ones with that which is due to God alone. All glory, honor, praise, worship and adoration belong to the Lord. Any diversion of that praise is idolatry. The RASN is a false god, having set himself/herself up as God:
Isa 14:13-14 You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; (14) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’
These self-made gods view themselves as the owner of their targets. Marriage for them is actually a formalization of them placing their mark on the, often, unsuspecting target:
Rev 13:16-17 Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, (17) so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.
You have no doubt realized that these Scriptures quoted here have actual reference to the devil, to Satan, to the Dragon behind the Antichrist and False Prophet. And that is the point. RASN’s demand for worship originates with Satan. Such people are his servants, he is their father:
Joh 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
This is why RASN’s are so consistent and similar in their mentality and tactics. They are servants of the same liar and murderer who showed up in Eden:
2Co 11:15 So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.
Their end will correspond with their deeds. Their deeds are of the devil. His end will be the lake of fire for all eternity. And so shall their end be.
