TULIP #12 – Apostasy and the Word

TULIP is an acronym which states the five points of Calvinistic theology: Total depravity, unconditional election, limited atonement, irresistible grace, and perseverance of the saints.

Being "enlightened" by the Holy Spirit through the preaching of the gospel is not in itself the new birth. Many have received this great privilege and yet, through carelessness and unbelief, ended in apostasy.
